PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for peeling a coat using a releasant with a minimized frequency of applying the releasant. SOLUTION: The method for peeling a coat using a releasant comprises a first process to apply a releasant 4 to a coating surface and leave it at rest and a second process to stir and further, leave at rest the coat 3 which is swollen and softened by the penetration of the releasant 4 after the first process and a third process to remove the entire softened coat 3 from an object to be coated X. Thus it is possible to promote the penetration of the releasant 4 into lower layer coats 2 and 1 by stirring the upper layer coat 3 swollen and softened by the second process together with the releasant 4 and as a result, to remove the deteriorated coat more efficiently than by a conventional method for peeling the coat using the releasant 4.
