PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more surely maintain a locked state of a door body on a vehicle body side wall by a lock device during a side collision of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This side door device includes the door body 26 having inner and outer panels 27 and 28, a pivotally supporting tool 21 for pivotally supporting one end part of the door body 26 on the vehicle body side wall 10, the lock device 22 capable of locking the other end part of the door body 26 on the vehicle body side wall 10, a reinforcing panel 37 extending along an internal surface of the outer panel 28, mounted on the door body 26 and having one end part 51 of the longitudinal direction mutually opposed to the lock device 22 in a width direction of a vehicle body 2, and a spacer 52 interposed between the lock device 22 and the one end part 51 of the reinforcing panel 37 and mounted at the one end part 51 of the reinforcing panel 37. A plurality of fragile parts 47 are formed in the longitudinal direction of the reinforcing panel 37. Each of the fragile parts 47 is distributed and arranged on front and rear sides by making a center line 48 of the longitudinal direction of the door body 26 as a reference.
