<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for writing utensil, which overcomes the conventional problem that the attaching/detaching of the cap itself are not easy and the original function of the cap is marred by reducing the fitting force of the cap for a cap-type writing utensil only during attachment and detachment. <P>SOLUTION: The cap for writing utensil is constituted of a cap body and a slide-over fitting protrusion which is movable radially formed on the cap body side. In addition, the sliding-over fitting protrusion is arranged on a flexible support member. Further, a movement regulating/deregulating member which regulates and deregulates the movement of the sliding-over fitting protrusion in the radial direction, is optionally operated.
