PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for a flexible printed circuit board that facilitates manufacture and has high convenience, and to provide a method of manufacturing the flexible printed circuit board. SOLUTION: The die 1 for the flexible printed circuit board is the die in which the flexible printed circuit board is carved from a sheet-like base material. The die 1 includes: a plurality of thin metal sheets 2 having rims 21 shaped in a shape adapted to the outer shape of the flexible printed circuit board; a positioning member 3 for positioning a plurality of overlapped thin metal sheets 2 so that rims 21 are aligned with the thickness direction; and a pressing member for pressing the sheet-like base material against the rim 21 of the top thin metal sheet 2.
