PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide waterproof type electronic equipment constituted such that a cover having a waterproof structure is automatically locked to a closed state by a compact lock structure when it is used underwater. SOLUTION: A housing cover 17 is openably/closably attached to an entrance opening part of a housing chamber 16 in which accessories 15 are housed. A waterproof means 18 is installed to prevent liquid from infiltrating into the housing chamber 16 in such a state that the housing cover 17 is closed. The housing cover 17 is constituted to be locked by an engaging structure to hold a state where the opening part of the housing chamber 16 is closed to keep watertightness by the housing cover 17. By fitting a lock member 19 receiving water pressure, which is a part of the lock structure, in a body side of the waterproof type electronic equipment, the housing cover 17 being in the closed state is restricted from moving to an opening direction. When the waterproof type electronic equipment is in atmosphere, fitting of the lock member 19 constituting the lock structure in the body side of the waterproof type electronic equipment is released, whereby the housing cover 17 can be opened.
