PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controlling device having excellent controlling effect on lepidopterous insects. SOLUTION: The controlling device to attract and capture a flying lepidopterous insect to an insect capturing part includes a far wall formed by nets extended around posts, right and left side walls having a different height, and a ceiling, wherein the ceiling is formed along an inclination formed on the upper side of the far wall and upper sides of the right and left side walls, and the device has a tent-form capturing part having an opening between a floor face and the ceiling, a guiding path formed of a tubular net and having an inlet part connected to the higher side wall of the capturing part, and the insect capturing part having a bag or box-shaped structure and connected with an outlet part of the guiding path. The height from the floor face of the capturing part to the inlet part of the guiding path is 80-100 cm, and the height of the opening of the capturing part is 30-80 cm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
