PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in communication speed even when a signal line wired in a vehicle body is used for communication with another in-vehicle device. SOLUTION: An in-vehicle communication apparatus 9 includes: a control information acquiring section 90 for acquiring a control signal output from an engine control device 11 which controls an engine in a vehicle body; a time counting section 91; a communication section 92 which has a plurality of communication schemes and communicates with another in-vehicle device; a storage section 93 for storing communication control information including time information in association with setting information; and a communication control section 94 for switching the communication scheme of the communication section 92. The communication control section 94 is configured to read the communication control information from the storage section 93 in synchronization with a control signal output from the engine control device 11, to extract setting information in the communication control information on the basis of the comparison of time information recorded in the read communication control information with time information counted by the time counting section 91, and to switch the communication scheme of the communication section 92 in accordance with the extracted setting information.
