A notification method for an emergency area identifier is disclosed in the present invention, including that: an eNode B (eNB) acquires a self-supported emergency area identifier (emergency area ID) and an E-UTRAN cell global identifier (E-CGI) list included in it, then when S1 is established, the acquired emergency area ID and an E-CGI list included in it carried in an S1 setup request message are transmitted to a mobility management entity (MME); the MME stores the received emergency area ID and an E-CGI list included in it. A notification system for the emergency area identifier is also disclosed in the present invention. With the invention, the complexity of manual operation and an error rate are decreased, the reliability and operating efficiency of the system are improved, and the stability and maintainability of the system are enhanced. |
