PURPOSE: An electronic paper display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to simplify a manufacturing process and embody high contrast ratio. CONSTITUTION: An electronic paper display device includes a display electrode which is composed of a transparent material, a back side electrode facing the display electrode, and a substrate with a plurality of first and second micro cup(H1,H2) which is arranged in order to cover other cups. A first and a second optical anisotropy elements are arranged on the first and the second micro cup.
