PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost of a case body of an airbag device for an occupant on a front passenger seat. SOLUTION: The case body 4 includes a case body 11 and a pair of reinforcing plates 12. The case body 11 includes a longitudinal plate part 17 and a short plate part 18. A folded piece 22 extended from the short plate part 18 is bent to be overlapped with the outside of the longitudinal plate part 17. A reinforcing plate 12 having large strength is arranged to be overlapped with the inside of the longitudinal plate part 17. The reinforcing plate 12, the longitudinal plate part 17 and the folded piece 22 are joined by an end part joining part 31. The end part joining part 31 presses a portion provided with an opening 38 in the longitudinal plate part 17 from the inside and joins the portion by caulking. There are no joining works in a short surface of the case body 4, the manufacturing cost can be reduced and a shock absorbing characteristic can be easily improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
