Described is a celestial model apparatus, comprising: an earth globe which rotates about shaft for rotation; a celestial globe which covers the earth globe, and which rotates about a shaft for revolution; a rotation motor, which drives the axis of rotation; a revolution motor, which drives the axis of revolution; a power unit which supplies power to the rotation motor and to the revolution motor; and a control unit which controls the rotation motor and the revolution motor separately from each other in order to adjust the rotating speed of the celestial globe and the rotating speed of the earth globe separately from each other. A method for driving the celestial model apparatus is also described.
