LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by reducing the number of components while surely preventing the deformation of a light diffusing plate and sheets of a backlight by effectively supporting them.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of straight fluorescent lamps disposed in parallel in a lamp chamber; a reflection plate disposed on the back of the lamp chamber; a plurality of resin-made reflecting materials provided between the fluorescent lamps on the reflection plate; a light diffusing plate disposed in front of the fluorescent lamps; and a liquid crystal panel disposed in front of the light diffusing plate. Support projections are integrally formed at several positions of the reflecting materials which are closer to corners of the liquid crystal panel than to substantially the center thereof to support the light diffusing plate and the like.
