PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing apparatus capable of properly performing displacement of optical axis of the optical system. SOLUTION: The image capturing apparatus includes: a drive means for displacing the optical axis of the optical system by driving the optical system; a detection means for detecting information on an image by the optical system; and a control means for controlling the drive means to displace the optical axis of the optical system based on detected results of the detection means.
