PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of easily preparing an album (image) by selecting image data desired to use, from among a large number of image data. SOLUTION: A printer 100 is provided with: an image input means for inputting image data; a layout determination means for determining image data to be printed, incidental information and layout about the image data; an image data extraction means for extracting the image data to be printed from the image data inputted by the image input means on the basis of the photographing time and date of the image data; an image allocation means for allocating the image data extracted by the image data extraction means to the layout determined by the layout determination means; an image color determination means which determines a most frequently appearing color with respect to the image data allocated to the layout; and an incidental information-adjusting means which adjusts the color of the incidental information in accordance with the color determined by the image color determination means.
