PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defibrillation electrode which is fixed credibly in a short time to the pericardial membrane via a trocar without being affected by heartbeat. SOLUTION: The defibrillation electrode 10 includes an electrode for applying electric energy to the heart 1, an insulation member 12 that exposes only the operating surface of the electrode on the heart 1 side and buries and electrically insulates the other circumference of the electrode, and fixing holes 13 arranged on and extending in the thickness direction of the insulation member 12. The electrode is configured so that part of the pericardial membrane 2 is drawn into the fixing holes 13 when the electrode contacts the pericardium membrane 2. By heating and coagulating the drawn pericardial membrane 2, the drawn pericardial membrane 2 and the fixing holes 13 exert anchoring effect to fix the electrode to the pericardial membrane 2.
