<p>Mixture of aromatic diamines and higher polyamines is prepd. by condensation of an aromatic amine with an aldehyde or ketone in content with a solid acid cation-exchange resin. Pref. reaction is carried out at 20-300 degrees C using mol. ratio of amine to aldehyde or ketone of 1:1 to 15:1. Suitable reactants are aniline and formaldehyde and process may be carried out by introducing reactants at top of resin column and sepg. products at bottom of column.</p> |
