<p>Ingot mould hot top which is supported on the mould by shoulders on the outer surface of the combustible hot top engaging the upper end of the mould and has dual wiping flanges which distort to engage the inner walls of the ingot mould, sealing the space between the hot top and the mould against the flow of metal. The wiping flanges and base are sited in horizontal grooves below and parallel to the projecting shoulders, and extend right round the hot top.</p> |
