<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wasteful discharge of non-deteriorated developer in a developing container through a developer discharge port. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device G includes developing units GY to GK, each of which includes the developing container V having: stirring circulating areas 2 added to 3 which are partitioned by a partitioning wall 4 at the center part thereof, and which are connected together by circulation connection paths E1 added to E2 at both end parts thereof; a first stirring area downstream-side boundary bottom surface 5, formed in a boundary part between the downstream-side end bottom surface in the first stirring area 2 and the upstream-side end bottom surface in the second stirring area 3; the developer discharge port 6 for discharging the developer so that the developer amount on the bottom surface 5 may be a fixed amount; a developer supply port 7 provided in the second stirring area 3; and a developing roll storing part 1. Each of the developing units GY to GK also includes a developing roll GR, rotatably supported by the developing roll storing part 1; a first stirring/conveying member R1; a second stirring/conveying member R2; and a developer shift prevention wall 17 for preventing the shift of the developer on the downstream-side end bottom surface, in the first stirring area 2 onto the first stirring area downstream-side boundary bottom surface 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
