<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detection mechanism that simply detects temperature, a gas sensor with the temperature detection mechanism mounted thereon, and a fire detector. <P>SOLUTION: An optical path 11 for guiding light from a light source 1 to a detector 15 is provided. The optical path 11 is provided with a pair of FBGs (fiber plug grating) 12 and 13. Light emitted from the light source 1 is wide band light in which wavelength width includes reflective peak wavelength at a normal operating temperature of the FBGs 12 and 13. A filter F for shielding light of wavelength equal to or more than a threshold to be introduced to the detector 15 is provided.
