PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene resin composition for a container lid, which is excellent in high-speed moldability, and also high rigidity, impact resistance, stress cracking resistance, lubricity, low odor property, food-safety, lid-openability and lid-closability. SOLUTION: The polyethylene resin composition for a container lid comprises: 100 pts.wt. of an ethylenic polymer composition (I) comprising 20 to 40 wt.% of (a) an ethylenic polymer which is polymerized by a Ziegler-based catalyst, and has an HLMFR at 190°C and 21.6 kg of 1 to 6 g/10 min and a density of 0.930 to 0.945 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, and >60 to 80 wt.% of (b) an ethylenic polymer which is polymerized by a Ziegler-based catalyst, and has an MFR at 190°C and 2.16 kg of 200 to 400 g/10 min and a density of≥0.960 g/cm<SP>3</SP>; and 4 to 40 pts.wt. of (c) an ethylenic polymer which is polymerized by a chromium-based catalyst, and has an MFR at 190°C and 2.16 kg of 0.1 to <0.4 g/10 min and a density of 0.945 to 0.960 g/cm<SP>3</SP>.
