PURPOSE: A combustion apparatus with improved thermal efficiency is provided to improve durability by lowering the temperature of the inner wall of a combustion chamber exposed to high-temperature combustion gas. CONSTITUTION: A combustion apparatus with improved thermal efficiency comprises a combustion chamber(11), a cooling chamber(13), and a side combustion air supply chamber(15). The combustion chamber is covered with an inner wall(12) in a combustion container(100). The middle wall(14) of the cooling chamber has a cooling water outlet and a cooling water inlet. Cooling water, flowing into a gap between the inner wall and the middle wall, cools the inner wall of the combustion chamber. A combustion air supply hole(16a) is formed in a tangential direction of an outer wall(16) of the side combustion air supply chamber. Combustion air, flowing from the combustion air supply hole, is supplied to the combustion chamber. |
