<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner easily permitting a user to recognize whether or not the air conditioner is over its estimated service life and that the air conditioner is required to be replaced and to easily confirm an abnormal cord. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes an indoor unit having a control means, an outdoor unit and a remote controller enabling interactive communications. By a request signal by an operation switch of the remote controller, the model name of the air conditioner, elapsed years from the manufacturing date, operation information and the abnormal cord from information stored in the control means are transmitted from the indoor unit side to the remote controller.
