摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detecting mechanism to which the existing constitutions mounted in various types of sensor can be applied and which facilitates carrying out temperature detection, and to provide a gas sensor and a fire detecting system having such a temperature detection mechanism mounted thereon. <P>SOLUTION: A light path 11 is provided through which light from a light source 10 is guided to a detector 15, and a light path 21 is provided through which light from a light source 20 is guided to a detector 25. The light path 11 is provided with a pair of fiber Bragg gratings 12 and 13 corresponding to the absorption wavelength of a gas to be detected, and the light path 21 is provided with a pair of fiber Bragg gratings 22 and 23 corresponding to the absorption wavelength of the gas to be detected. Detection units 14 and 24 are provided between the pair of FBGs, respectively, into which ambient gas is introduced. A processing unit 3 is provided which, with light emitted from the light sources 10 and 20 as a narrow band of light whose wavelength interval falls within a range of reflection peak wavelengths at the normal operating temperature of the FBGs, calculates the concentration of the gas to be detected contained in the ambient gas on the basis of the intensities of the beams of light having reached the detectors 15 and 25. The processing unit 3 identifies temperature abnormalities in the detection units 14 and 24 on the basis of the intensities of the beams of light having reached the detectors 15 and 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
