PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely increase the information transmitting capacity of a self-checkout terminal and smooth account processing using the self-checkout terminal. SOLUTION: The self-checkout terminal 1 includes: a reading window 10 for scanner, which is operated by a customer in account processing to read a barcode; a display 8; and a ticker display 9 provided between the display 8 and the reading window 10.
