PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting system that properly controls superposition display of additional information to broadcasting contents during zapping. SOLUTION: A transmitter includes a data transmitting means for transmitting video/voice data and data-broadcast data to a receiver. The receiver includes: a control means; and a receiving means that, when receiving a selection of a channel, receives the video/voice data and the data-broadcast data corresponding to the channel whose selection is received. When a main-story broadcasting program is presented by executing a content included in the data-broadcast data, the control means controls so that additional information is automatically superposed and displayed on a screen based on the main-story broadcasting program at the timing when receiving the selection of the channel. When a commercial is presented, the control means controls so that the additional information is automatically superposed and displayed on a screen based on the commercial at the timing when receiving the selection of the channel on the condition that the commercial is an approved commercial.
