PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction roller type transmission restrained from the influence of an edge load and demonstrating stable performance over a long period of time. SOLUTION: An intermediate roller unit or a wedge roller unit for the friction roller type transmission includes a supporting shaft which is a shaft member, and a hollow roller member rotatably supported to the circumferential outside of the shaft member through a rolling bearing.
