<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated cleaning method for a blow mold, by simplifying cleaning of a blow molding machine. <P>SOLUTION: A device for deforming a plastic preform into a container includes: at least one blow mold 2 for forming a cavity deforming a plastic preform into a container in its inside; a pressurization device (a blow nozzle) that adds a medium to the plastic preform so as to stretch the plastic preform against the inner wall 8, partitioning the cavity, of the blow mold 2; a stretching rod 12 for stretching the plastic preform in its longitudinal direction; and a cleaning device for cleaning each region of the blow mold 2. The cleaning device has at least one discharge port 14 for a cleaning medium that cleans the blow mold 2.
