<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when a hydrogen generation apparatus is started, the temperature of a catalyst rises, the gaseous raw material adsorbed on the catalyst is desorbed and supplied to a burner but there is some possibility of causing imperfect combustion at the burner. <P>SOLUTION: A generated gas from the hydrogen generation apparatus is supplied to the burner 3 through a generated gas flow path 15. When the hydrogen generation apparatus is stopped, the temperature of a CO removal catalyst layer 2 is detected by a CO removal temperature detection part 8 and before the detected temperature becomes the temperature at which the CO removal catalyst layer 2 begins to adsorb the gaseous raw material, a fixed amount of the gaseous raw material is supplied from a raw material supply unit 4 and purged and an outlet stop valve 9 and a raw material stop valve 10 are closed. When the hydrogen generation apparatus is started, the CO removal catalyst layer 2 is heated by a CO removal heater 7 and when the temperature detected by the CO removal temperature detection part 8 becomes higher than the temperature at which the CO removal catalyst layer 2 begins to adsorb the gaseous raw material, the outlet stop valve 9 and the raw material stop valve 10 are opened and the gaseous raw material is supplied to the burner from the raw material supply unit 4 to form a flame at the burner 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
