摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light scattering body of a light scattering medium in which a scattering coefficient indispensable for reconfiguring an absorber is controlled, and a method for manufacturing the light scattering body. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical information recording medium that includes an optical energy absorber embedded in a three-dimensional light scattering body, the light scattering body is a porous medium and its scattering coefficient distribution is controlled by the size of holes in the light scattering body and the density distribution. The light scattering body as a porous medium is a scattering body manufactured by making a multiplicity of pores inside materials such as glass and polymer resin. Diameter and density are used for parameters for forming the pores.
