<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel and an electronic book having high yield and high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The flexible display panel includes: a rectangular sheet-like display portion in which a scan line and a signal line intersect with each other; the display portion being provided on a substrate; a signal line drive circuit for outputting a signal to the signal line, the signal line drive circuit being provided on at least one of one side in the upper surface of the flexible display panel and the other side facing the one side over the substrate; and a scan line drive circuit for outputting a signal to the scan line, the scan line drive circuit being provided on at least one of one side substantially vertical to the signal line drive circuit of the flexible display panel and the other side facing the one side over the substrate. In the flexible display panel, the mechanical strength of at least a position where the signal line drive circuit and the scan line drive circuit are overlapped is improved, compared with the mechanical strength of the area other than the overlapping position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
