PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of easily obtaining a video image of high image quality by performing flexible deformation or distortion correction on a source image even in an inexpensive memory (frame memory). SOLUTION: The image processing device includes: a means 230 for calculating a read address reflected with deformation of an image through coordinate transform when reading out image data from a memory 220; a means 210 for writing inputted image data into the memory 220 and reading out image data from the memory 220 based on the read address; a means 212 for limiting the number of pixels in a main scanning direction of the image data read out from the memory 220 smaller than the number of pixels in a main scanning direction of an output screen; and a means 240 for expanding image data which are read out from the memory 220 in such a way that the number of pixels in the main scanning direction is smaller than the number of pixels in the main scanning direction of the output screen, in such a manner that the number of pixels in the main scanning direction of the image data may be equal to the number of pixels in the main scanning direction of the output screen.
