<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and low-cost compound type optical element module which has a high coupling efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The compound type optical element is configured by optically coupling a compound type optical element 1 which performs input and output of a plurality of optical signals with one chip, and a planar lightwave circuit (PLC) 12 having a plurality of optical waveguides. An optical system including one or one set of optical lenses 3a, 3b arranged between the optical element 1 and the PLC 12 to collectively couple a plurality of optical signals, is used to individually set the angles of the plurality of optical waveguides so that the optical signals input to and output from the end face part of the PLC 12 are input into the effective diameter of the optical lenses 3a, 3b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
