PURPOSE: A combustion apparatus with a wick is provided to ensure smooth combustion by rapidly supplying fuel oil to the top of the wick body through the acceleration of capillary phenomenon by wick legs. CONSTITUTION: A combustion apparatus comprises a wick receiver(10), a wick actuator(30), a wick(20), a wick actuating unit(34), and a combustion vessel(40). The wick receiver comprises an inner shell(11) and an outer shell(12) which are connected to form an annular space(14) in which fuel oil is filled to a designated height. The wick actuator is transferred up and down within the annular space of the wick receiver. The wick has a plurality of wick legs(22) on the bottom of a wick body(21). The wick actuating unit transfers the wick actuator and the wick up and down. The wick is maintained separate from the wick actuator by a wick fixing frame(50). When raised to the maximum height, the wick is separated from the top of the wick receiver. When lowered, the wick is dipped in the fuel oil of the annular space.
