<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet curable composition excellent in curing properties, that is used for forming a polarizing plate containing a polyvinyl alcohol-based polarizer and an ultraviolet absorber and excellent in water resistance and adhesion with a protection film, and to provide a polarizing plate prepared using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The ultraviolet curable composition contains a radical polymerizable compound (R) and a cation polymerizable compound (C) and further contains a specific amount of a photo-radical polymerization initiator (I<SP>R</SP>) and a specific amount of a photo-cationic polymerization initiator (I<SP>c</SP>) or a specific amount of the photo-cationic polymerization initiator (I<SP>c</SP>) and a specific amount of a photosensitizer (S), each of the initiators exhibiting specific absorption at 410 nm and 420 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
