METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polymer electrolyte film suppressing a form failure of the film such as wrinkling or deformation, and further maintaining high productivity with its appropriate adhesiveness with a support.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an aromatic hydrocarbon polymer electrolyte film includes the following steps: obtaining a cast film of a polymer electrolyte precursor; obtaining a polymer electrolyte precursor film 1 by heating the cast film to remove a solvent; obtaining a polymer electrolyte precursor film 2 by extracting the solvent from the polymer electrolyte precursor film 1 in at least two stages; obtaining a polymer electrolyte film by converting 90 mol% or more of a salt of the polymer electrolyte precursor into protons with an acid solution having pKa equal to 3 or less; and drying the resulting polymer electrolyte film. The polymer electrolyte precursor film after extraction which is obtained in the step of obtaining the polymer electrolyte precursor film 2 is placed in an atmosphere having temperature 20-40°C and relative humidity 60-95% RH.
