<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield machine equipped with an obstacle cutting device capable of rotating faster than a cutter head, in the excavation of natural ground where the obstacle exists; and to provide an excavation method using the shield machine. <P>SOLUTION: This shield machine 1 includes the cutting device 7 for cutting a drain material, and an engaging device 10 which can radially protrude from/recede into an outer peripheral edge of the cutter head 2. The cutting device 7 is equipped with an outer peripheral ring 12 which has an inner peripheral surface provided with a recess 23; and the engaging device 10 is equipped with a spoke 20 which has an end surface provided with a protrusion 22. The cutter head 2 and the outer peripheral ring 12 are integrated together by engaging the protrusion 22 of the spoke 20 with the recess 23 of the outer peripheral ring 12, so that the cutter head 2 and the outer peripheral ring 12 can be integrally rotated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
