PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the overhead of a packet required for a relay path performing multi-hop communication and to improve throughput.

SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus includes: a history storage means for storing the destination of a packet transmitted in the past or a transmission source which has transmitted relay path information as a history; a transmission processing determination means for determining whether the destination of the packet to be transmitted is stored in the history storage means as the history; a first transmission processing means for imparting only the destination of the packet and information indicating that relay processing using the history is to be performed to the packet and performing transmission processing when there is the history according to the transmission processing determination means; and a second transmission processing means for imparting the relay path information to the destination of the packet and information indicating that relay processing using the relay path information is to be performed to the packet and performing the transmission processing when there is not history according to the transmission processing determination means.
