摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein, whereas the value of a mode-traveling fuel consumption is a value showing an energy consumption per unit distance, when traveling following a specific mode traveling procedure, highly accurate prediction value reflecting a topography or traffic information of a traveling route cannot be obtianed from the value of the mode traveling fuel consumption. SOLUTION: In a car navigation system, traveling characteristic data independent of a car model on an energy consumption of a vehicle in a specific traveling state are calculated, and an energy consumption characteristic parameter which is a characteristic parameter of an engine or a motor on the energy consumption is estimated from basic information, such as, a car weight or a power type input separately, the value of the mode traveling fuel consumption used for calculation, traveling characteristic data during mode traveling, a theoretical fuel consumption calculated from a vehicle characteristic, and an input mode traveling fuel consumption, and energy consumption prediction in consideration of the topography and traffic information is performed by using the input basic information and the calculated energy consumption characteristic parameter.
