PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water drain device for a hopper, which efficiently drains water using a capillary phenomenon without clogging of the water drain hole of a water drain tube arranged in the hopper when waste and polluted sand are temporarily stored in the hopper. SOLUTION: The water drain device W for the hopper 1 for storing storage substances including waste and polluted sand is arranged in the hopper 1 and drains water separated from the storage substances in the hopper 1 by means of the capillary phenomenon.
