A method for producing diesel oil in a catalytic depolymerisation process, comprising the steps of processing stock in a separator and evaporator block 108 coupled with a mixing turbine 110, in which catalytic depolymerisation is conducted, distilling the depolymerised stock in a distiller 109 to obtain diesel oil, utilising part of the obtained diesel oil to fuel a combustion-electric generator 111, characterized in that it further comprises the steps of pre-processing the stock by feeding the input stock to a buffer tank 101 connected via a feeder 102 to a dryer 103, to which hot flue gas from the generator are connected, passing the hot flue gas via the dryer and the feeder to the buffer tank 101 until the stock in the dryer is heated to a temperature between 100°C and 200°C, connecting an undepressure condenser block 105 to the dryer and collecting the moisture from the stock in the dryer until the moisture of the stock is reduced under 30% and the temperature is reduced below 90C, and feeding the stock pre-processed in the dryer to the separator and evaporator block 108.
