1340924 Des - phenylalanine B1 - insulin FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 19 April 1971 [7 Feb 1970] 21260/71 Heading C2C The title compound is prepared by reacting insulin with an excess of tertiary butoxy carbonyl azide in a mixture of an N,N<SP>1</SP>-dialkylcarboxylic acid amide (of 3-6 C atoms) and an aqueous buffer of pH 8À0-9À0 and then reacting the product so obtained with 2-4 equivalents of a phenylisothiocyanate which may be substituted by a negative substituent and treating the reaction product with a strong or inorganic acid. Pharmaceutical compositions useful as antidiabetic agents contain the little compounds in admixture with an inert diluent. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,223,350. |
