<p>Shrinkable plastic or plastic-contg. shank material pref. pre-stretched, shrinkable porous polymer synth. leather or pref. plastic-impregnated fibre web, pref. contg. thermoplastic polymers, e.g. polyacrylates or acrylate copolymers, or polyurethane, is worked to a crude shank and applied to a last where it is shrunk, pref. by heat or with chemicals, so that it permanently takes on the shape of the last.</p> |
