An assembly in a coin-wrapping machine in which coins may be stacked comprises first and second members pivoted together and having internal concave surfaces so as to form a cylindrical cavity when the assembly is in a closed position. When pivoted to an open position, portions of said members co-operate to form a continuous surface opposite the opening so formed in the side of the cavity, in order to prevent coins stacked in the cavity from passing between the members on the side opposite the opening. Cylinder halves 8, 9 are hinged together by a pin 10 passing through portions 8b, 9b, and may be pivoted to an open position shown in dotted lines, in which position, and in all intermediate positions, a plane surface 16 remains in tangential contact with a rounded surface 15 so that the portions 8b, 9b co-operate to provide a continuous surface. An arm 11 is connected to cylinder half 8 and carries a stop screw 12 whose head engages a cam 14 when the assembly is closed. Rotation of the cam 14 by a pin 13 permits the adjustment of the size of the stacking cavity in accordance with the size of the coins being handled.
