The biodegradable drug delivery systems described here are formulated for implantation into the nail unit and its surrounding tissues for the treatment of various nail unit conditions. The systems include greater than 30% by weight of the active agent, and may be formulated as solutions, solids, semisolids, microparticles, or crystals.
