PURPOSE: A lichens extract or homosekikaic acid compound is provided to ensure antioxidative activity and to be used in foods, feed, cosmetic products, and medical products. CONSTITUTION: A lichens extract with antioxidative activity is Umbilicaria Antarctica, Peltigera canina, Peltigera praetextata, Ramalina conduplicans, Ramalina intermedia, or Sticta nylanderiana extract. The lichens extract is isolated using methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, butanol, acetone, hexane, ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, dichloromethane, 1,3-butylene glycol or mixture solvent thereof. The lichens extract is manufactured in the form of food additive, feed additive, cosmetic product, or medical product.
