PURPOSE: A method and a system for a video call based on a haptic are provided to recognize the various emotional states of a user. CONSTITUTION: A communication network supports video communication between first and second terminals. A database unit(420) extracts vibration information corresponding to gesture information. Haptic contents includes a gesture image and the extracted vibration information. A contents providing server(400) transfers the generated haptic contents to a terminal of the other party.
