The boat has a mounting for fastening an outboard engine on the boat. The mounting comprises a support arm (6) having a first fastening element for fastening the support arm to a knob provided on the boat such that the first fastening element acts as a clamping device for receiving and fixing the knob. A second fastening element (9) is spaced apart from the first fastening element to fasten the shaft (7) of the outboard engine to the support arm.
