A metallic slag pot is a pot-shaped vessel for containing molten steel (or iron) slag, wherein the diameter of pot opening is larger than that of pot floor. The slag pot is characterized in that the slag pot is constituted of steel plates by welding. The slag pot almost has no defects such as shrinkage cavity, shrinkage porosity, gas cavity, segregation, crack, non-metallic inclusions, thermal crack and cold crack etc. The slag pot also has good weldability, good repairability, long life and low cost. |
