PURPOSE: A controlling system which remotely checks and selects an image signal and an operating method thereof are provided to select a desired image signal by easily and remotely checking an image signal state in advance through an image signal restoring device. CONSTITUTION: An image signal compressing device(13) converts an outputting of a second signal selecting device(12). An image signal system controlling device(14) converts the data of the image signal compressing device into a data for network transmission. The image signal system controlling device transmits the control signal of a remote side to a first and second signal selecting devices. An image signal network controlling device(15) connects a transmission signal of the image signal system controlling device to a network. An image signal recovery unit(19) restores the compressed image signal data.
