Acoustic method for measurement of distance in waveguides includes emission of sound to measuring tube (wave guide) with liquid placed there, obtaining of echo-signal from surface of liquid and calculation of distance to it by average acoustic speed. Wave dimension of measuring tube is chosen with account of possibility of propagation of waves of 0-th and higher orders, with determination of time delays of each of those waves, calculation by those of average acoustic speed in measuring device, and measured level of liquid one finds as half-product of average acoustic velocity and time delay of wave of 0-th order. |
